You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to situations with calm, clear communication and strong customer service. This role requires a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements and Level III Armed Certification in Texas, while living our agile, reliable, innovative, people-first values with integrity and teamwork.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the distribution location, including warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter fencing as assigned.
  • Monitor and control access for employees, vendors, and visitors at entry points and/or vehicle gates in accordance with site procedures.
  • Screen and verify driver identification, shipping documentation, and appointment information to support controlled access to shipping and receiving areas.
  • Perform roving checks of trailer yards, parked vehicles, and cargo staging areas to help to deter theft, damage, and unauthorized activity.
  • Observe, report, and document unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns, and communicate findings to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Operate security-related equipment such as radios, access control systems, CCTV, and alarm panels, and report malfunctions per procedure.
  • Write clear, complete reports of daily activities, incidents, and follow-up actions, including use-of-force related documentation when applicable.
  • Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when required, while maintaining post orders and company guidelines for an armed post.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required in Texas only.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
