Job Description




As a Security Officer - Hospital Patrol Driver in Sturgis, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under the Allied Universal driver policy. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, visitors, and/or vendors at a healthcare location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical facility disturbances, unauthorized access concerns, and/or property-related issues, and notify appropriate personnel per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking lots, entrances, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Control access at designated doors and checkpoints by monitoring entry and exit, verifying identification and/or credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate destinations.
  • Complete reports and documentation for incidents, patrol activity, and unusual occurrences, and communicate updates to site representatives and Allied Universal supervision as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
