Job Description




As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol in Leesburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol units, entrances, and common areas, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, respond to calls for assistance, and support staff, patients, and visitors with calm communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and support orderly operations.
  • Monitor access points and visitor flow as assigned, including observing for unauthorized access, securing doors and restricted areas, and reporting maintenance and/or access control issues.
  • Complete accurate incident reports, patrol logs, and shift communications, and promptly report hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations through the appropriate channels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Vaccines are required for this hospital site.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
