Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Driver in Albuquerque, NM, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced tech and media location as an unarmed Patrol Officer. You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible to help reduce security-related issues, support access control and badge activity, and provide strong customer service and clear communication to staff and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license that meets AU Driver Policy requirements.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, vendors, and visitors by following site-specific security-related procedures, access policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and communicating updates per post orders.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of studio facilities, offices, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entry points and restricted areas, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, and assist with visitor check-in and escort processes as required by location procedures.
• Complete detailed reports and shift logs, report maintenance hazards and/or suspicious conditions to appropriate contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and available video or access control information per policy.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
