Robotics Engineer I

As aRobotics Engineer I, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team focused on designing, developing, and implementing robotic systems and automation solutions. The travel for this position is 25%.

This role is not remote/hybrid. This role will report to Sherwin-Williams located at6849 Engle Rd, Middleburg Heights, OH 44130.

Job duties include contact with other employees and access confidential and proprietary information and/or other items of value, and such access may be supervised or unsupervised. • Assist in the design, prototyping, and testing of robotic systems and components
• Support the integration of sensors, actuators, and control systems into robotic platforms
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop software for conveyance, motion control, path planning, and system diagnostics
• Participate in troubleshooting and debugging of hardware and software issues
• Document technical specifications, test results, and system configurations
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support ongoing continuous improvement efforts

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future (e.g., OPT, CPT, H1B, EB-1,etc.)
• Must have Bachelor's degree or higher in Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Engineer
• Must have working experience with programming languages such as Python, C++, or ladder logic
• Must have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams and/or Outlook)
• Must have experience with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Visio

Preferred Qualification:

• Have one (1) years of working experience in robotics or automation engineering
• Have working experience with control systems
• Have working experience with CAD tools (e.g. SolidWorks and AutoCAD) and simulation environments
• Have working experience with microcontrollers, PLCs, or industrial automation systems
• Have working experience with machine vision, AI, or machine learning applications in robotics
