Overview

The Electric Boat Design community is responsible for developing qualified candidates to produce 3D models and documents to support maintenance and construction of various classes of submarines. This job assignment will directly support the design community through administrative efforts in a fast pace and rewarding environment.

For over 100 years, Electric Boat Design teams have played a key role in delivery of the advantage that protects our Sailors, our Families, and our Freedom. This is an opportunity to be part of the next chapter of our legacy.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

    Generation of official correspondence.
  • Maintenance of department file both physical and digital.
  • Reproduction and distribution of documents.
  • Development of presentations utilizing various software.
  • Maintenance of department procedures and organization charts.
  • Maintenance of status reports.
  • Fulfillment of various administrative requests in accordance with defined procedures.
  • Coordinating hiring and on boarding efforts.
  • Compiling and redistribution of data from various databases.


Qualifications

Required:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 4-8 years of administrative experience in an office setting
  • Ability to type 45 words per minute

Preferred:

  • Associates Degree or technical certification


Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work well with other organizations and all levels of management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High-level Proficiency with Microsoft Office Software - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project and Access
