POSITION SUMMARYThe Operations Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to ensure efficient and timely packaging operations. This role works closely with production, purchasing, maintenance, customer service and quality departments to align resources with customer demand, manage changeovers and optimize equipment efficiencies JOB RESPONSIBILITIES SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES: Develop and maintain a detailed daily, weekly, and monthly production schedule based on customer orders, forecasts, and inventory levels. Plan sequence of work orders to minimize changeovers, machine flush, and downtime. Coordinate with production lead and setup technicians to ensure machine readiness and proper changeovers. Collaborate with purchasing on availability of raw materials, i.e. packaging components. Create and manage Inter-Branch Transfers to ensure timely movement of raw materials from warehouse to production plant. Communicate schedule changes or delays to customer service. Monitor production performance and adjust plans as needed. Issue work orders to production based on material availability and readiness.
