THOR Solutions is actively seeking a highly motivated junior-to-mid level Data Analyst to support a contract at the Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific (NIWC PAC) in San Diego, CA. This individual will support NIWC PAC's Manpower Management Branch (Code 81400) team by handling data calls, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has advanced Excel skills, and communicates clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Typical Responsibilities include:
  • Lead and support recurring data calls by collecting, validating, organizing, and delivering accurate datasets on tight timelines
  • Develop and maintain Excel-based trackers, reports, and dashboards to support program, operations, and leadership needs
  • Perform data cleaning, analysis, and quality checks to ensure consistency and reliability across sources
  • Translate raw data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and project teams
  • Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to gather inputs, clarify requirements, and resolve data discrepancies
  • Document processes and support continuous improvement of data workflows
  • Contribute as a collaborative team member, supporting shared goals and deadlines

Location: Fully onsite(no remote/hybrid) at Naval Base Point Loma in San Diego, CA.

Work Schedule: This position follows the California Alternate Work Week schedule. Mondays - Thursdays 9 hours daily, and Fridays alternate between 8 hours or 0 hours, for a total of 80 hours worked in a standard two-week period.

Typical Physical Activity: Desk/computer work in an office environment. May involve: repetitive motion.

Typical Pay Range:The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $26.00 - 30.00/hour. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.

Existing SECRET Security Clearance Required: This position requires an existing active or interim Secret security clearance prior to hire. Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance; therefore, only current U.S. citizens will be considered for this position.

RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Active US DoD SECRET Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant business or technical discipline.
  • At least two (2) years of recent, relevant experience in data analytics, or a related role in program, operations, or analytics fields.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, lookups, conditional formatting; Power Query a plus).
  • Proficiency in common productivity software/tools, including the Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Familiarity with data governance or standardized reporting processes.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting data calls or recurring reporting cycles.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Additional Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Experience obtained in a US Navy or other DoD environment highly preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Access.
  • Experience with Power BI, SharePoint, or similar data collaboration tools.
