Description

The Renaissance Minneapolis Bloomington Hotel is seeking a creative and skilled guest-focused dishwasher to join their team of fun-spirited team members! Our 250+ room hotel, with nearly 5,000 square feet of meeting space, is conveniently located for business and leisure travelers. Must work nights and weekends.

Our property is just a short drive from the world-famous Mall of America. Some of our features include a full-service, modern American Restaurant concept with creatively crafted Food and Beverage offerings with a Minnesota twist. Other amenities include our indoor, heated junior Olympic-sized pool, whirlpool, 24-hour fitness center, and a recent property remodel featuring a local Minnesotan theme.

Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Clean all filters and hoses inside the machine before filling the dishwasher.
  • Check water temperatures: Wash cycle 160 degrees minimum or Rinse cycle 180 degrees minimum.
  • Scrape and clean all dishes
  • Stack all dishes together by size and type.
  • Turn on the dishwasher and fill the dish racks.
  • Use a presoak tub for all silverware.
  • Separate water glasses, juice glasses, and coffee cups and wash each type separately on the proper-sized rack.
  • All cooking utensils, pots, and pans must be washed by hand.
  • Clean up and turn the dishwasher off.
  • The utility sink and broom hanger must always be kept clean and neat. Stand the mops against the wall and lower the handles to allow them to dry.
  • Hood filters from the cook's line must be washed and left to dry every night.
  • After turning off and clearing the dish machine, remove all floor mats to the loading area, dump used grease into a large tub in the grease room, carry all trash to the dumpster, wash out trash cans, and scrub mats with a hose in the grease room.
  • Cleaning floors and properly closing the kitten.
  • Sort dirty linen and carry dirty tablecloths and napkins to the linen hamper.
  • Know and be responsible for all bus help duties if asked by the Manager to do them.
  • Keep the kitchen floor and shelves clean.
  • Helped set up banquet rooms if asked by the manager.
  • Clean the bar when asked by the Manager.
  • Clean and straighten all storerooms and coolers when asked by the Manager.
  • Keep all walls clean.
  • Any other duty required in an emergency.



Specific Job Knowledge and Skills:
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that they can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.



  • Knowledge of the appropriate table settings and service ware.
  • Ability to read English to fully comprehend job requests, caution notices, and similar written materials.
  • Ability to grasp, lift, and /or carry or transport up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to move or push goods on a hand cart/truck weighing 200 lbs.
