Job Description

Amcor; Flexibles Converter and Distribution plant in - Mankato, MN at 2111 3rd Avenue is searching for a Mechanical Maintenance Tech to fill anight shift opening. This position supports the production shift by helping maintain and repair production equipment as needed.

Our ideal candidate:

  • Always exemplifies the Amcor's Behaviors and Values.
  • Maintains a safe, clean and organized work area.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on all machinery, detect failing equipment, troubleshoot, repair and set up all equipment.
  • Read schematics: mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic.
  • Knowledgeable of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical functions.
  • Use of electrical test equipment.
  • Able to operate welding equipment: stick, mig, braze and torch.
  • Able to fabricate parts as needed.
  • Plumbing skills.
  • Understand compressors and transfer systems.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area.
  • Abide by all safety rules and procedures.
  • Comply with ISO training and quality program.
  • Overtime and call in may be required with short notice.
  • Various other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing mechanical environment is highly preferred.
  • Regularly required to stand for long periods; use hands to finger, handle, or feel, objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms.
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Required use of PPE including but not limited to: Bump Cap, Safety Eyewear or Prescription Safety Eyewear, Safety Shoes, Hearing Protection.
  • Ability to work well independently or in a team environment; displaying ability to work and deliver results in a fast-paced, performance driven environment.

We offer a friendly, team-orientated environment, competitive salary and a full benefit package.

The position offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $27.30 - $39.79, commensurate with experience. Plus $1.75 differential for hours worked between 5 pm to 5 am.

Our team follows a 2-2-3 rotational schedule, working two nights on, two nights off, then three nights on. The shift hours are 6 pm to 6 am.
