Description
Note: APA operates on a 37.5-hour work week with one-hour lunch breaks each day. APA sets salaries based on several considerations, including years of relevant experience, level of education, and previous staff and/or governance experience at APA. The Director, Precollege and Undergraduate Education is responsible for supporting teachers of psychology and communicating the value of the discipline. A goal is to develop initiatives that apply psychological science, including the scholarship on teaching and learning for those teaching in high school, undergraduate, or graduate level education. The director promotes the value of psychology education, and supports teaching excellence through research in learning science, cognitive psychology, and educational psychology. Education and Experience: This position is ideal for an experienced classroom teacher and education leader with evidence of scholarship focused on teaching and learning (SoTL) and who is passionate about bridging psychological science with classroom practice to enhance student learning outcomes and teacher effectiveness across all levels of education.
