The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies (FOCs) is looking for a Computer Systems Administrator to support our government customer in Ft. Dietrick, MD. DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for development, implementation, day-to-day compliance of the Information Resource Management. Systems Administrator of two local area networks. Manages day-to-day operations of telephones to include secure phone capability. Serves as alternate classified document custodian and courier. Installs and maintains video monitoring and three gates' access keyboards. Act as a liaison with AFMEDCOM and DHA information management/information technologies to manage and coordinate support of all IM/IT to include the following: ADPE, printers, fax equipment, and audio-visual equipment. Performs IM/IT voice and data security oversight and IA. Ensures operations comply with current DoD and Services IA and RMF policies and instructions that impact IM/IT assets and operations. Assists with reviews of billing from the Fort Detrick NEC to assure charges are based on accurate resources in use. Interacts on a frequent basis with NEC staff to coordinate, schedule, request (with prior Government oversight concurrence) services and support for day-to-day operations. Prepares IM/IT test assets for operational test to include scenario development, testing, and configuration of test assets. Test support (IM/IT and other systems or devices) may be required at exercises and locations in field conditions throughout the continental United States and worldwide. Provides recommendations on improvements and modernization of IM/IT operational test and office resources. Provide identification of capability gaps, analysis of identified alternatives, and justification for upgrades or addition of new technologies. Provides minor IM/IT equipment repair and upgrades support in coordination with AFMEDCOM and DHA IM/IT. Assists with tracking, inventory and marking of IM/IT assets. Manages and supports IT programs that support audio-visual information, libraries, printing and publications, database management, application software, links to the global information grid (GIG), networks interfaces. Proposes updates and improvements of procedures, and policies to Leadership to improve quality, performance, decrease time or costs of operational test support functions. Participates on ITTs in assuring testability of AFMS capability requirement documents, test evaluation strategy documents, test cost estimates, test plan, test evaluation master plans, Test Execution documents, and data collection during test. Assists test directors, providing operational expertise, test planning, cost estimation, test program time estimation, test data collection, analysis, and reporting. Supports and maintains the field site properly periodic lifting and moving of items that potentially could weigh 60-80lbs (e.g., sandbags that secure shelters). Ad-Hoc travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), including potential for international travel. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Must possess a minimum of six (6) to ten (10) years' of cumulative paid full-time professional IM/IT systems administrator/security work. Must have possess experience with IM/IT domains to include Access Control, Telecommunications and Network Security, Information Security Governance and Risk Management, Software Development Security, Cryptography, Security Architecture and Design, Operations Security, Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning, Legal, Regulations, Investigations and Compliance and Physical (Environmental) Security. Must be able to lift sixty (60) to eighty (80) pounds. Must be willing and able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) and Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS), including potential International locations. Must hold or be able to obtain active U.S. Passport. Must be willing and able to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.
