Job Title:Short-Arc (GMAW) Tack Welder

Location:Lockport, LA

Position Overview:Bollinger is seeking aShort -Arc (GMAW) Tack Welderprovides necessary tools a ship fitter and assists as directed to include tacking, grinding, or other assigned duties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must be familiar with basic welding or fitting processes.
• Enters and moves through manholes to reach and work in internally confined spaces.
• Provides ship fitter with assistance whenever deemed necessary.
• Provides fire watch duties.
• Must be able to work in confined/enclosed spaces.
• Must be able to work/climb in elevations greater than 5'.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of three (3) months of tack welding experience.

Skills and Abilities:

• Must successfully demonstrate the ability to pass a hands-on Short Arc (GMAW) Tacker T-join test in the vertical and overhead positions with the vertical position tack welded with downhill progression.
