Essential Job Duties
The Medical Records Specialist is responsible for reviewing electronic medical records to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with documentation standards. This position identifies and tags record deficiencies and works directly with appropriate physicians to resolve outstanding documentation issues in a timely manner.
The specialist also provides administrative support by responding to phone calls and emails from clients, referring veterinarians, insurance companies, and internal staff. Additional responsibilities include scanning and uploading non-electronic documents into the medical records system to maintain accurate and organized patient records.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum one (1) year of related office, administrative, or medical records experience.

  • Experience using Google Docs and/or Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel).
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy.
