Essential Job Duties
The Onboarding Center Consultant primarily facilitates individualized onboarding sessions and coordinates new employee orientation programs to ensure a welcoming and efficient start for employees. The role also provides limited support for offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees separating from the University.

Key responsibilities include:


  • Conduct individualized onboarding and offboarding sessions to complete critical employment tasks and provide tailored guidance

  • Serve as a subject matter expert on onboarding/offboarding processes, including payroll, FLSA, benefits, I-9, identity management, IT access, transportation, and international employment considerations

  • Generate and analyze daily reports to determine personalized onboarding content and monitor trends related to hires and separations

  • Troubleshoot HR system functionality across platforms such as HR Job Data, payroll processing, background check systems, and identity management tools; recommend process improvements as needed

  • Coordinate, develop, and deliver New Employee Orientation and Benefits Orientation (in-person and virtual)

  • Develop and facilitate employee engagement initiatives, including campus tours and institutional programming that foster connection to the University's mission and culture

  • Respond to employee and departmental inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment

Qualifications




Minimum Experience/Education
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of human resources experience in a university setting
  • Experience with PeopleSoft or similar HR Information Systems
  • Knowledge of human resources policies, employment processes, and compliance requirements
  • Experience planning and facilitating group presentations or orientation sessions
  • Experience analyzing HR data or working with integrated HR systems
