| Essential Job Duties |
The Onboarding Center Consultant primarily facilitates individualized onboarding sessions and coordinates new employee orientation programs to ensure a welcoming and efficient start for employees. The role also provides limited support for offboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for employees separating from the University.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conduct individualized onboarding and offboarding sessions to complete critical employment tasks and provide tailored guidance
- Serve as a subject matter expert on onboarding/offboarding processes, including payroll, FLSA, benefits, I-9, identity management, IT access, transportation, and international employment considerations
- Generate and analyze daily reports to determine personalized onboarding content and monitor trends related to hires and separations
- Troubleshoot HR system functionality across platforms such as HR Job Data, payroll processing, background check systems, and identity management tools; recommend process improvements as needed
- Coordinate, develop, and deliver New Employee Orientation and Benefits Orientation (in-person and virtual)
- Develop and facilitate employee engagement initiatives, including campus tours and institutional programming that foster connection to the University's mission and culture
- Respond to employee and departmental inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment

Qualifications
| Minimum Experience/Education |
Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Three or more years of human resources experience in a university setting
- Experience with PeopleSoft or similar HR Information Systems
- Knowledge of human resources policies, employment processes, and compliance requirements
- Experience planning and facilitating group presentations or orientation sessions
- Experience analyzing HR data or working with integrated HR systems
