Overview

The Rental Fleet Analyst is responsible for assisting in providing a fleet of attachments and machines to support the growth of the machine rental operation. The Rental Fleet Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the purchase of fleet, disposals of fleet and maximizing machine utilization for the rental operations.

Responsibilities

  • Contributes to a positive work environment and promotes the vision, mission and values of BMC.
  • Completes all job responsibilities in a safe manner, promotes and champions a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Demonstrate mastery of rental equipment commonly used.
  • Highly competent in utilizing iRental, Rouse and other fleet analysis tools.
  • Support and build strong relationships with co-workers to include the Outside and Inside Sales Team, Product Support Staff, and Central Dispatch
  • Coordinate and/or assist with fleet acquisitions and disposals. This includes being experienced with the tools necessary to do so.
  • Demonstrate effective and clear communication with the shops, yard personnel, admin team, etc., on the acquisitions and disposals.
  • Assist with the proper and preferred configurations of the equipment and attachments ordered for the rental fleet.
  • Review incoming machine orders and ensure compatible attachments are available or ordered.
  • Assists the rental team with resources such as Cat Price Pages and the Compatibility Guides for specialty/other attachments.
  • Stay current and updated on new or updated work tools and stay current with nomenclature or compatibility changes.
  • Identification and recommendation on specific Models and Specifications for the rental fleet
  • Assist with yard coordinators in physical inventories and yard accuracies.
  • Assist in monitoring agreements and reservations on the rental fleets.
  • Ensure all vehicles in rental fleet are properly tagged and registered and meet safety requirements
  • Comply with government safety requirements and other regulations, as well as store security and report safety violations of the supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of equipment industry experience required
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License with less than three moving violations in the past three years.
  • Positive, solutions-oriented mindset coupled with strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal/written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of employees, management and customers in a positive, professional, and effective way
  • Knowledge of Caterpillar industry, equipment, basic mechanics and the local market preferred.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to use in-house computer systems - with training.
  • Must understand and be able to effectively communicate equipment applications and key performance specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Must recognize the difference between similar products and the advantages/disadvantages of particular applications.
  • Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
  • High energy, excellent self-motivation and work-ethic.
  • Possess an unwavering commitment to service excellence

Working Conditions

  • The physical environment requires the employee to work primarily inside throughout the day; however, this position may also require working in non-climate-controlled environments as well as outdoors.
  • Position will require travel to Blanchard branches and various jobsites.
  • Position may require periodic overnight travel.
  • Requires standing, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, turning, lifting.
  • Seeing, reading, and writing to complete job responsibilities.
  • Use of computers and other forms of technology to complete job responsibilities.
