Your responsibilities

The Human Resources Intern will support the HR team with full-cycle recruitment activities for manufacturing roles and provide general HR administrative and clerical support. This position offers hands-on experience in talent acquisition, candidate coordination, and core HR operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supports the full-cycle recruitment for manufacturing roles, including sourcing candidates, posting job openings, and maintaining accurate records in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Conducts initial phone screens to evaluate candidate qualifications, availability, and overall fit for production and manufacturing positions.
  • Coordinates and schedules interviews between candidates, hiring managers, and HR, ensuring timely communication and a positive candidate experience.
  • Performs routine clerical support for the HR department, including file creation and maintenance, faxing, shipping and mailing, photocopying, sorting mail and distributing information via plant postings, documents and e-mail.
  • Responsible for assisting and routing visitors and/or employees who come to main lobby, serving as the first point of contact for Human Resources. Fields and supports employee requests of an HR nature.
  • Assists the HR team in the pre-employment and on-boarding processes.
  • Assists the Human Resources department in the tracking and maintenance of HR related processes utilizing shared online resources including spreadsheets and other systems (e.g., Smartsheet).
  • Assists with the maintenance and auditing of personnel files with a focus on compliance.
  • Assists in the development of spreadsheets (Excel), review of surveys and audits, report building and data sorting.
  • Assists with the processing of benefit enrollments, changes and terminations.
  • Actively participates in the planning, preparation and implementation of all HR sponsored meetings and company events.
  • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Your profile

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
  • Must possess and demonstrate very strong customer service skills with a positive, helpful and upbeat personality.
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple tasks and adjust to changing schedules and priorities; maintain organization in a changing environment, and maintain flexible attitude & approach towards assignments.
  • Must be highly proactive, possess a very strong work ethic and has proven experience taking ownership to anticipate needs.
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Must possess and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, prioritization and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
