Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver

As a Security Officer - Gatehouse Driver in De Soto, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage access points, and help monitor for security-related concerns while providing standout customer service. This is a driving post, requiring a valid driver's license, and includes mobile patrols and quick response support across the property. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Control access at building entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing guests to the proper location.
• Monitor access control points and security-related systems, such as cameras, alarms, and intercoms, and report unusual activity per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting actions taken, and assisting with scene control until help arrives.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the property perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or policy violations, and complete required reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
