Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Night Rounds in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine rounds, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and assist staff and visitors with clear, professional communication. You will observe and report concerns, support access control practices, and respond to service requests with calm teamwork. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and vendors by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior corridors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points; document observations and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit by verifying identification, directing visitors, and supporting sign-in processes per site policy.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical events, and fire or building alarms; notify site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Complete timely reports and logs such as incident reports, patrol documentation, and shift activity notes; communicate status updates to supervisors and incoming officers.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
