We are seeking a full-time Learning Management System (LMS) Course Specialist to join our team.



Role Summary

Applies instructional systems engineering principles to analyze, design, develop, implement, and evaluate (ADDIE) distributed learning solutions within Army-approved LMS environments. Designs scalable course architectures, manages LMS administration and content governance, and sustains online training ecosystems supporting Army Distributed Learning requirements, including classified training sites when directed.



What you will be doing

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Apply instructional systems engineering methods (e.g., ADDIE) to translate operational requirements into structured learning objectives, course designs, and delivery strategies.
  • Develop and sustain LMS course architectures, learning paths, and content structures aligned to Army Distributed Learning standards.
  • Administer LMS environments: course provisioning, user/role management, permissions, hierarchies, and configuration control.
  • Manage content lifecycle: versioning, updates, archival, and sustainment; maintain governance and quality controls.
  • Manage community engagement within the LMS to support learner interaction, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop and sustain online training products; produce technical/instructional documentation and user guidance.
  • Support integration and alignment with Army training systems and reporting requirements, including ATRRS-related interfaces when applicable.
  • Support development of classified training sites and content as required by mission.


What we need from you

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Technically qualified personnel who can understand, speak, read, and write the English language.
  • Intermediate-level skills in Microsoft 365 applications to produce required documentation (Outlook, OneDrive, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, Teams, Viva Engage, and Access).
  • Knowledge, skills, and experience developing and sustaining Learning Management System capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Army Distributed Learning Systems.

Desired:

  • Experience with instructional design tools and standards, such as SCORM or xAPI, where applicable.
  • Experience with learning analytics, reporting, and evaluation metrics.
  • DoD 8140/8570 baseline certification (e.g., CompTIA Security+ CE) when required for privileged access.

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum two (2) years of experience developing and sustaining LMS capabilities and online training solutions, including experience supporting Army Distributed Learning Systems.

  • Experience evidence required per contract.

  • Two or more years of experience developing and administering courses within an LMS.

  • Two or more years of experience managing community engagement within an LMS.

  • Two or more years of experience managing LMS content.

Certifications:

  • Army Blackboard Certification requirements (must be completed within 30 days of contract award):

    • Blackboard 101 Instructor Basic Training (10 hours);

    • Blackboard 201 Exemplary Course Design (14 hours);

    • Blackboard 301 Domain Administrator (4 hours);

    • Blackboard Institutional Hierarchy Training (3 hours);

    • Blackboard LCMS Interface to ATRRS Training (2 hours);

    • Blackboard Certificate Management Tool Training (2 hours).

Security Clearance:

  • Active Secret security clearance preferred.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • In accordance with federal government security clearance requirements, U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • This position is primarily performed on-site at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
  • Limited telework may be permitted only if authorized and consistent with contract requirements.
  • Work is generally performed during standard business hours, with occasional after-hours support based on customer needs.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support customer needs at other locations.
