What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients, residents, tenants, and visitors by following site-specific access control procedures, property policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Control entry and exit at designated access points by verifying identification, resident or tenant authorization, visitor purpose, and vehicle information, while maintaining required logs and/or reports.
  • Monitor cameras, intercoms, gate systems, and other security-related equipment, reporting irregularities, maintenance needs, and policy concerns to site contacts.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with notifications, documentation, and coordination with management and/or public services as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations, documenting observations per post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • A minimum of 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security experience is required, or a college degree is required.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of armed security experience is required.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
