Security Officer - Full Time Patrol Rover

As a Security Officer - Full Time Patrol Rover in Trenton, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will assist customers and staff with clear communication, report concerns, and support loss prevention efforts as needed. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to guests and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the retail sales floor, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify potential issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, dispute assistance, and coordination with on-site management and local responders as needed.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, theft-related activity, and policy violations, then document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to post orders.
• Complete detailed reports of incidents, patrols, and activities, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and location leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
• A guard card and/or security license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
