We are partnering with a leading innovator at the forefront of technological advancement, dedicated to solving complex challenges and driving the future of intelligent systems. This organization is committed to pushing boundaries, creating impactful solutions, and fostering an environment where cutting-edge research translates into real-world applications that touch millions.

Are you ready to redefine how intelligent systems understand and interact with vast amounts of information? We're seeking a visionary **Software Engineer** to join a dynamic team where your expertise will directly shape the core capabilities of next-generation retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems. In this pivotal role, you will lead the charge in developing sophisticated context construction strategies, ensuring optimal performance, precision, and cost-efficiency in environments with massive schema documentation. Your contributions will be instrumental in evolving how data is represented and accessed, directly impacting the accuracy and relevance of generated content and empowering users with unparalleled insights.

**What You'll Do:**

* Design and implement advanced context construction strategies for Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems, addressing challenges of limited context against extensive documentation.

* Lead the evaluation and fine-tuning of embedding strategies (dense, sparse, and hybrid) to accurately capture domain-specific terminology and nuances.

* Determine optimal methods for representing data tables, column definitions, and debug logs within vector spaces.

* Build robust data pipelines that ensure semantic indexes remain fresh and up-to-date in real-time as schemas evolve.

* Mentor team members, guiding technical roadmap planning, and fostering collaborative efforts across cross-functional teams to drive project success.

**Must-Have Qualifications:**

* Master's degree or equivalent practical experience.

* 8 years of experience in software development, including 5 years testing and launching software products, and 3 years in software design and architecture.

* 8 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.

* 5 years of experience with machine learning algorithms and tools, artificial intelligence, deep learning, or natural language processing.

* Proven experience designing and implementing complex context retrieval systems (context scaffolding) for large language models in production.

* Experience leading technical strategy for large-scale projects.

* Proficiency in SQL.

* Deep understanding of vector space models, semantic search, and hands-on experience evaluating embedding techniques (e.g., dense versus sparse retrieval, re-ranking strategies).

* Ability to independently query massive datasets to diagnose model behavior, identify edge cases, and inform architectural decisions with data.
