Summary: Presbyterian Hospital is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) for our Heart & Vascular Care department. This leader role will support daily clinical operations, staff development, and highquality patient care. This position serves as a clinical and operational resource for the team, helping ensure that workflows, staffing, and patient experience consistently meet organizational standards.

Responsibilities:
Assist with daily operations of the Heart & Vascular Care unit, ensuring safe, efficient, and patientcentered care. Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and support to nursing staff and unlicensed assistive personnel. Participate in hiring, onboarding, competency assessments, and performance evaluations. Support staffing and scheduling needs, including coordinating assignments and managing daily workflow. Promote adherence to regulatory requirements, professional standards, and hospital policies. Partner with the Nurse Manager on quality improvement projects, patient experience initiatives, and process optimization. Serve as a resource for clinical decisionmaking and escalate concerns appropriately. Assist with maintaining readiness for audits, surveys, and accreditation processes. Contribute to a positive working environment and support staff engagement, retention, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Current RN license in the state of New Mexico or Out of State Compact license BLS required Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required Experience: One year experience in clinical area required Minimum of 2-3 years of recent acute care nursing experience; experience in cardiac, vascular, telemetry, or critical care strongly preferred. Previous leadership experience (charge nurse, preceptor, coordinator, etc.) preferred. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and problemsolving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
