Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is a private, not-for-profit, community health care provider, governed by a community-based board of trustees. Hear what our hospital president has to say about what we do and why we do it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qj5KuB34gU8 Position Summary: The Senior Clinical Informatics Analyst is a senior clinical liaison between the Clinical Informatics area (within the Information Technology Department) and the clinical end user departments. The person in this position works collaboratively with all HCMC end users of clinical information systems and applications. May provide lead role in planning and implementing new information technology (IT) for clinical departments. Largely responsible for training of electronic medical record clinical applications, and ongoing support of clinical IT as well as all levels of end users. Is responsible for more complex aspects of evaluation, project planning, design, development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support of clinical IT. Utilizes knowledge and skills of clinical (nursing and/or non-nursing) practice to determine those clinical processes which are suitable for IT and automation and ensures that implemented clinical IT is consistent with professional standards of clinical practice. Analyzes current and future end user department requirements, procedures, and workflow, in order to provide clinical IT solutions that support and improve organization, division, and/or department operations. Develops and maintains a positive working relationship with end user departments to ensure optimal utilization of the Hospital's clinical systems and applications, while providing appropriate levels of end user training and education. Salary Range: Minimum 46.57/hour - Maximum 72.18/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
