Summary:
Following established policies, procedures, and study protocols, provides assistance on clinical research studies, including recruiting, evaluating, and consenting patients for studies; collecting and organizing patient data; scheduling patients for study visits; performing clinical tests such as phlebotomy, EKGs, etc.; and maintaining and updating data generated by the study. Candidates who are in the process of completing their bachelor's degree have a six-month grace period from their hire date (up to one year if starting on a per diem basis)to provide degree equivalency verification.
Essential Functions:
Reviews proposals for compliance with sponsor and organizational guidelines; verifies that all sponsor requirements are met.
-Recruiting patients for clinical trials and conducting phone interviews.
-Verifies the accuracy of study forms and updates them per protocol.
-Prepares data for analysis and data entry.
-Documents patient visits and procedures.
-Assists with regulatory binders and QA/QC Procedures.
-Assists with interviewing study subjects.
-Assists with study regulator submissions.

Education:
Bachelor's degree required. Major in psychology is preferred.

Experience:
The position also requires prior experience with scientific literature reviews (e.g., tracking down and summarizing research articles).

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

In order to successfully fulfill job responsibilities, we anticipate the following attributes are required:

- Excellent organizational skills

- Excellent communication skills

- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

- Facility with smartphone applications and web platforms, ideally with respect to health behavior change, but a general facility is acceptable

- Willingness to work closely with individuals with substance use problems and other psychiatric disorders

- On a personal level, the candidate should possess then ability to handle fluctuating priorities and deadlines, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently as well as with others

- Ability to work effectively in the remote and in-person context

The following attributes are preferred, but not required:

- An interest in the substantive focus of the studies which the CRC will be coordinating (e.g., positive psychology, smoking cessation, mobile technologies, recovery from substance use disorder, recovery support services)

- Basic proficiency in SAS (preferred) and/or other statistical software programs
