Position Summary:
Under the leadership of the NJGU/CB Director, the Site Director is responsible for the effective implementation and achievement of all goals, objectives, and standards associated with the NJ GEAR UP/College Bound grant program for assigned grade levels at targeted school sites, campus-based and other approved program locations.

The NJ GEAR UP/College Bound program provides academic instruction, mentoring, tutorial, counseling services as well cultural and educational day and overnight field trips to students in grades six (6) through freshman year of college virtually, on NJIT campus and at designated NJ GEAR UP/College Bound target Schools.

The Academic Year Session includes 20 weeks of weekday and Saturday services operating from September to June. The Summer Session operates up to 30 hours a week for six (6) weeks July to Mid-August. This position is expected to work weekends and evening hours as needed. Participation in overnight field trips/college tours is required.

Essential Functions:
-Increasing college enrollment and retention among students enrolled in the NJ GEAR UP/College Bound grant program.
-Assisting in the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs, activities and services at school sites in accordance with all policies, regulations, procedures and expectations associated with the grant, NJIT and CPCP.
-Supervising school site programs and activities; conducting professional development and staff meetings; and observing and evaluating activities, programs and services.
-Coordinating mentoring program activities, student recruitment, counseling activities, admissions and parent programs/ services.
-Collecting, analyzing and maintaining student data, including report cards, test scores and Personal Educational Plans (PEPs) to improve service delivery to students and increase student outcomes.
-Assisting in developing and managing budgets.

Additional Functions:
-Assisting in developing program proposals and preparing reports.
-Developing and implementing curriculum.
-Fulfill other duties as assigned.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree.
-At least 5 years' experience or equivalent in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
-Experience with counseling, curriculum development, and the application of best practices in the delivery of programs, strategies and services to increase student. interest and success, as well as enrollment in post-secondary education.
-Experience with the supervision of personnel as well as budget development and management.
-Strong management, development, planning, and organizational skills.
-Effective verbal and written communications, computer technology and stakeholder relations skills.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Work Suite (Drive, Calendar, and Gmail), and WebEx and other software packages as needed.
-At the university's discretion, the education and experience prerequisites may be exempted where the candidate can demonstrate to the satisfaction of the university, an equivalent combination of education and experience specifically preparing the candidate for success in the position

Preferred Qualifications:
-Master's Degree.
-Experience working in STEM and/or K-20 education.
-Fluency in Spanish speaking, reading, and writing skills.

Salary Information:
In compliance with the NJ Pay Transparency Law, the negotiated annual salary range for this position is $63,129.05-$102,796.62 (USD). NJIT considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses or other items.
