Anticipated Pay Range: $26 .00- $31.00 per hour. *Pay rates within this range are determined based on various factors including experience, education, certifications, etc.

JOB SUMMARY

The Quality MDM Administrator is responsible for performing activities within the Quality Manufacturing Data Management (MDM) group to maintain an up-to-date circulation of work instructions. This position also maintains control of customer documents and assists in audit preparation.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Expected to assist in the implementation of Howmet Aerospace's EHS value and policy statement and its accompanying principles;
  • Comply with all department, facility, Corporate and Regulatory EH&S regulations.
  • Wear all required personal protective equipment;
  • Report all job-related illness and injuries. (Per employee handbook);
  • Report all Safety, Health & Environmental concerns to your supervisor in a timely manner;
  • Attend all EH&S training.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Job Functions

  • Manages all Quality Management System documents in Teamcenter software and releases final versions to the Work Instruction Explorer (WIE).
  • Performs all Manufacturing Data Management (MDM) functions including Teamcenter Admin and Teamcenter WISPA roles.
  • Performs all computer inputting necessary to create work instructions (Activity Instructions and Product Criteria). Ensures completeness and adheres to composition guidelines and specifications.
  • Maintains up-to-date work instructions by making revisions, updating requirements in the IPC system as needed, and issuing/controlling temporary instructions in the shop.
  • Releases and distributes work instructions and issues a revision status report to Manufacturing and Support Supervisors.
  • Distributes work instructions to suppliers for out-sourced operations.
  • Controls and maintains the master work instruction files and the systems supporting them.
  • Monitor and improve metrics related to activity instructions due for periodic review
  • Electronically manage, route, and disposition external documents.
  • Run Bill of Material (BOM) previews for Customer Purchase Orders and electronically route to reviewers.
  • Locate and provide directions on customer specifications, confirm all applicable documents are available.
  • Undergo training and become a qualified internal auditor. Conduct audits to assure processes and systems are in control and meet the requirements of AS9100.
  • Works independently with little supervision, organizes workflow, and sets priorities when required.
  • Frequent internal interaction with Engineering and Manufacturing personnel to ensure accuracy and completeness of documents. Occasional external contact with auditors and customers.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervision.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Organization and the ability to achieve and maintain a high level of typing.
  • Must be detail oriented and proficient in spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Ability to use online portals / software required for the role, including but not limited to Teamcenter and Work Instruction Explorer.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position;
  • High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution;
  • No relocation benefit is offered for this position. Candidates residing within a 50 miles radius of Dover NJ will only be considered.
  • Must be highly proficient in computer skills, including typing.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Frequent sitting in an office and manufacturing environment
  • Sitting and monitoring a computer screen for extended periods of time when inputting work instructions.
