Rideshare Route Formation Specialist
Applications are now being accepted for the position of
Rideshare Route Formation Specialist in the
Commuteride Department. This is a non-exempt position with a starting wage of $22.80 to $27.70 per
hour/DOQ.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Analyzes rider leads and evaluates compatibility with existing vanpool or rideshare routes based on origin, destination, schedule, and capacity; directs rider placement to optimize system efficiency and fleet utilization.
- Provides data-informed recommendations to leadership to support program growth and optimization for system efficiency and fleet utilization.
- Develops and analyzes performance reports and data related to ridership demand, route development, and onboarding outcomes using geographic, demographic and commute data.
- Maintains oversight of rider interest, demand, and waitlists; determines when conditions support formation of new routes and provides data-informed recommendations to leadership to support program growth and optimization.
- Advises prospective riders on route status, timelines, eligibility, and next steps; processes rider, driver, and volunteer applications and establishes rider accounts in designated systems to support billing, onboarding, and program integrity.
- Recruits, supports, and trains vanpool participants, volunteer drivers, and bookkeepers; manages
confidential customer data, maintains administrative records, coordinates with operations and finance for route activation and administration, and develops performance reports using ridership, geographic, demographic, and commute data.
Qualifications:
- Considerable knowledge of principles of customer service, program strategies and implementation; public sector or transportation demand management (TDM) programs; rideshare, vanpool, transit, or mobility programs; data analysis methods using geographic, demographic, and commute data to identify growth opportunities; and customer account management and database software.
- Good knowledge of local geography and commute patterns; general office management techniques;
public agency administrative procedures and record management practices; and report preparation and performance metric tracking.
- Ability to evaluate rider information and determine route compatibility; maintain accurate records and
documentation; follow established policies and procedures; work collaboratively within a team environment; manage changing priorities and timelines; develop and maintain professional relationships to accomplish goals and objectives; and analyze data and trends to support strategic program recommendations and operational optimization.
