As a Security Officer - Unarmed Site Patrol in Syracuse, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and strong customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of common areas, building corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious behavior, unauthorized entry attempts, and policy violations; take appropriate action within post orders and escalate concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and service calls in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing assistance as needed and coordinating with emergency services when directed.
• Complete detailed written and/or electronic reports, including incident reports, patrol logs, and shift activity notes, and communicate significant updates during shift turnover.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
