Job Description




As a Security Officer Industrial Patrol-Driver Clearance Required in Melbourne, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will conduct routine mobile and foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and incident reporting. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. You will deliver customer-focused service, clear communication, and strong teamwork while acting with integrity in a caring, agile, reliable, and innovative culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Monitor access points by observing inbound and outbound vehicle and foot traffic, helping to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, documenting details, and supporting on-site response as directed.
  • Complete routine reports and shift logs, communicate notable conditions to site leadership, and assist with security-related checks of doors, gates, and restricted areas.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 3+ years' combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Have an active DoD Secret clearance.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
