Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Director of Sales to join our growing team.

Job Summary:

The Director of Sales - Independent Review Organization (IRO) is responsible for identifying, qualifying, positioning, and securing IRO business within the workers' compensation and commercial healthcare markets. As a key member of the Business Development team, this role drives revenue growth, expands market share, and supports the organization's strategic growth objectives for the IRO service line.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with the SVP of Sales to execute plans and programs, both short and long range, to ensure the revenue/profit growth and expansion of the Company's products are in line with Company strategic goals for growth, including generating go to market strategy, providing input for the P&L forecasting effort, and evaluating the competitive landscape.
  • Cultivate relationships with existing clients and account executives in order to identify new business opportunities.
  • Establish alliances and channel partnerships with other organizations to expand the client base for the current product lines.
  • Coordinate sales efforts/strategies with internal product experts in order to provide comprehensive sales solutions to customers.
  • Develop and implement marketing strategy and planning efforts for providing solutions to strengthen and increase the Company's market share. Identify and research other new program business opportunities aligned with the Company's strategic initiatives.
  • Participate in the research, analysis, and monitoring of financial, technological, and demographic factors to capitalize on business opportunities and to minimize the effects of competitive activity.
  • Work with the marketing and communications department to maintain sales collaterals, presentations and market research and sizing
  • Drive relationship-building process at multiple levels with contacts among State HHS programs, and consulting organizations to identify, develop and obtain business for the Company.
  • Coordinate with staff directly and indirectly engaged in business development activities. Work with technical staff to prepare client proposal presentations and provide input on contracting and pricing strategies
  • Work with the SVP of Sales on reporting illustrations that will be used in board meetings and other presentation to represent pipeline status and overall market segment growth
  • Manage and update sales pipeline within the CRM
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in the Workers' Compensation or commercial healthcare industry
  • Minimum of 8+ years of experience in contracting, including technical and business proposal development
  • Demonstrated experience leading the full capture and intelligence process across the sales lifecycle
  • Must be able to travel up to 50%

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree preferred
  • Proven track record of securing public sector contracts
  • Experience with Independent Review Organizations (IRO), utilization management, appeals, or related healthcare service

Experience in lieu of Degree

For Non-Clinical roles, or when not required by the contract specifically, the Company acknowledges that practical, hands-on experience can provide skills and competencies equivalent to formal education. As such, in cases where a Bachelor's degree may be required, the company will accept a minimum of six (6) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of a degree. In instances where the candidates has an Associate's degree, the company will accept a minimum of three (3) years of directly relevant professional experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree.

Pay Range

USD $148,800.00 - USD $186,000.00 /Yr.
