The Job

The Business Development (BD) & Sales Analyst supports Prime Buchholz's institutional business development and client engagement efforts by collaborating across the firm to identify, pursue, and advance new business opportunities. This role contributes across the full business development lifecycle and supports key revenue-generating initiatives, including intermediary engagement, conferences, rebids, client fee management, and service model transitions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in deepening their experience in institutional sales and business development within an investment consulting environment. This role is based in Portsmouth, NH, or Boston, MA, with the expectation that the individual is currently located within commuting distance to one of these offices.

What You'll Do

  • Support prospecting and lead generation efforts, including identifying potential clients, intermediaries, and market opportunities
  • Partner with Consultants and senior team members to advance new business opportunities and support relationship development
  • Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, meeting materials, and follow-up communications
  • Participate in prospective client meetings and prepare summaries and internal notes
  • Maintain and update the firm's CRM system to ensure accurate pipeline tracking and reporting
  • Coordinate timelines and workflows across teams to ensure high-quality, timely deliverables
  • Support outreach campaigns, conferences, rebid processes, and other growth initiatives
  • Maintain proposal and content libraries and assist with tracking and reporting on business development activity

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, finance, communications, or related field (preferred, but not required)
  • 2-5 years of working experience in business development, institutional sales support, or marketing; investment management industry preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort working in client-facing or prospect-facing environments
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using CRM systems such as HubSpot (preferred)
  • Willingness to periodically travel between offices, to conferences, or client meetings as needed

Compensation:

  • This role is classified at grade level 5, with a starting base salary range of $65,800-$82,200.
  • Where you fall within this range will be based on your skills, experience, qualifications, and internal equity. We typically aim to welcome a new employee on the lower end of the given salary range to ensure room to grow as performance measures are met.
  • In addition to base pay, all positions are bonus-eligible - because we believe your contributions should be recognized and rewarded.
