Competitive Pay: This position offers an hourly wage ranging from $35/hr. to $43hr., depending on experience and qualifications. What You'll Do:
- Supervise and mentor machinists, apprentices, and shop personnel
- Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion of jobs
- Provide technical guidance, training, and coaching on machining processes
- Coordinate daily machining workflow, including CNC and manual operations
- Review job orders, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate execution
- Verify tooling, fixtures, and equipment are set up correctly
- Monitor machine productivity, downtime, and work quality
- Inspect machined parts for accuracy, tolerances, and surface finishes
- Ensure adherence to engineering drawings, GD&T, and customer specifications
- Serve as the liaison between management, engineering, and shop personnel
- Provide updates on job status, delays, and challenges
- Assist in planning and scheduling to meet production deadlines
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, complying with company and industry safety regulations.
What You'll Need:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
- 5+ years of machining experience (CNC and manual)
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role in a machine shop or industrial environment
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Knowledge of GD&T, inspection tools, and quality standards
- Hands-on experience with CNC programming preferred (Mill, Lathe, or Router)
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and shop floor tracking
- Industrial shop environment with exposure to noise, heavy equipment, and cutting fluids
- Requires standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and manual dexterity
- May require extended hours to meet production deadlines
