As a Turnover Interface Manager at Worley, you will play a pivotal role in leading and coordinating all turnover and interface activities across assigned projects or areas. You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and overseeing the seamless transition of systems from construction through mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and final handover to the client. This role ensures alignment between engineering, construction, commissioning, and client teams, driving efficient system completion and turnover in accordance with project milestones and contractual requirements. Your expertise in project execution, interface management, and leadership will be critical to delivering safe, high-quality, and timely project outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Turnover & Interface Management: Plan, develop, and oversee all turnover and interface activities, ensuring systems are completed, tested, and handed over in alignment with project schedules and client requirements. System Completion & Handover: Manage the systemization process, including tracking of mechanical completion, pre-commissioning, and commissioning milestones. Ensure all documentation and system dossiers are complete, accurate, and ready for client handover. Construction, Commissioning & Client Coordination: Provide leadership and coordination between construction, engineering, commissioning teams, and client representatives to ensure seamless execution of turnover activities. Team Leadership: Lead and direct turnover coordinators, field engineers, and support personnel (typically 10-40 individuals), ensuring clear direction, accountability, and professional development. Technical & Interface Expertise: Utilize in-depth knowledge of construction, commissioning, and system completion processes to resolve interface issues, eliminate bottlenecks, and optimize turnover sequencing. Change Management: Manage and implement changes impacting turnover scope, ensuring alignment across all stakeholders and minimizing disruption to project timelines. Stakeholder Interaction: Operate with a high level of independence, proactively engaging with senior leadership, project teams, and clients to provide updates, resolve issues, and drive decisions related to turnover and interfaces. Performance Management: Manage direct and indirect reports, including performance evaluations, staffing decisions, training, and development, with accountability for team performance and delivery. Policy & Program Framework: Establish and implement turnover strategies, procedures, and frameworks across multiple projects, ensuring consistency and alignment with Worley standards and client expectations. Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a recognized expert in turnover and interface management, providing guidance on complex system completion challenges and influencing key project decisions. Systems & Process Management: Oversee and optimize turnover management systems and tools (e.g., completions databases), ensuring accurate tracking, reporting, and continuous improvement of processes.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLSET
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline) or equivalent industry experience. Extensive experience in construction, commissioning, completions, or turnover/interface management within large-scale industrial projects (e.g., oil & gas, LNG, petrochemical, energy). Demonstrated experience in a leadership or management role, with responsibility for multidisciplinary teams and project delivery. Strong understanding of system completion processes, including mechanical completion (MC), pre-commissioning, commissioning, and start-up. Proven experience with turnover systems and tools such as WinPCS, MCPlus, Omega, or similar completions management software. In-depth knowledge of construction workflows, engineering deliverables, and commissioning requirements, with the ability to integrate across project phases. Strong understanding of interface management principles, including coordination between contractors, disciplines, and client teams. Experience developing and managing systemization strategies, turnover plans, and handover dossiers. Proven ability to manage project schedules, priorities, and risks in a fast-paced, complex environment. Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse stakeholders. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working directly with clients and senior leadership. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, particularly in resolving complex interface and turnover challenges. Working knowledge of industry codes, standards, and HSE requirements applicable to construction and commissioning activities. Proficiency in project controls, reporting tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Willingness to travel or be site-based as required by project needs.
