Job Title: Aircraft Painter Start Time: : All submitted candidates should be available to work variable shifts based on business need, 1st and 2nd. Location: San Antonio, TX 78226 Duration: 12+ Months Pay Rate: $38.88/hr. (33.79/hr. + 5.09H&W Role & Responsibilities: The Aircraft Painter coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices, removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper. Smoothest surface with sandpaper and steel wool, roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to insure that paint adheres to surface, masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted, and paint insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface, using stencils. Relevant paint experience is considered painting multi-staged paint processes (base coat/clear coat) at large scale with compressed air (automobile, boat, etc.). Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): 1+ years' experience in the position responsibilities listed above. 1+ years' hands on experience sanding, taping, mixing material, the application of paint. Ability to work rotating shift. Experience reading blueprints and document specifications. Experience working from heights and using fall protection equipment. Ability to complete Fall protection training. This position requires an individual to work at heights utilizing fall protection equipment. Candidate must be able to obtain Fall Protection Certification. This is also contingency of assignment - Fall Protection Regulations - OSHA 1926, 191066, 1910 Subpart D. Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 1+ years' experience working on military and commercial platforms. 1+ years' experience working with hazardous chemicals.
