Regional Equipment Manager


Location: Long Beach, CA


We're looking for a Regional Equipment Manager to lead all aspects of our Equipment Program, including regional oversight, vendor management, and coordination of repair and maintenance processes. In this role, you will ensure that branch and corporate goals are met while providing efficient and courteous service to our customers.


Team Leadership & Operations




  • Lead and mentor Equipment Supervisors, overseeing daily activities of their teams and departments



  • Ensure cohesive operations across teams by aligning processes, priorities, and performance standards



  • Develop and implement standardized equipment procedures, metrics, and KPIs to drive consistency and compliance



  • Collaborate with other teams to resolve complex issues and enhance the customer experience



  • Monitor and report on departmental performance and team metrics



  • Provide coaching, development, and growth opportunities for Supervisors and team members




Inventory & Vendor Management




  • Oversee and maintain equipment inventory and an inventory control program that supports business growth



  • Review and manage departmental expenses, vendor costs, and market RFPs



  • Coordinate and manage customer-owned equipment and the Loaned Equipment program




Human Resource Management




  • Provide guidance, motivation, and supervision to associates



  • Conduct annual performance evaluations and quarterly performance updates



  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing



  • Support and enforce corporate policies and initiatives



  • Manage weekly work schedules and labor costs to control overtime




Other Responsibilities




  • Assist in other operational areas as needed



  • Represent the company professionally, ensuring high-quality customer service



  • Enforce all safety policies, rules, and regulations



  • Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities




  • Strong customer service and leadership skills



  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills



  • Ability to analyze data and develop solutions



  • Strong coaching and team-building capabilities



  • Ability to manage time, people, and multiple priorities



  • Knowledge of material handling equipment and supplier networks



  • Familiarity with company operational systems and general computer skills (Microsoft Office)



  • Ability to embrace change and make sound decisions



  • Mechanical aptitude and product knowledge




Requirements




  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the industry or a related equipment field



  • Minimum of 1-2 years of management or leadership experience, with 2-5 years preferred



  • Strong mechanical skills and hands-on equipment experience



  • Material Handling Equipment Certification required
