Position Summary
Reporting to the SVP of Strategy and Business Development, the HBS Leadership Fellow will take on a highly visible role and help shape the strategic direction of the hospital as the healthcare market is actively restructuring. The HBS Leadership Fellow will drive analysis and build organizational alignment for key strategic initiatives and major partnerships/M&A opportunities. They will be in a unique position at the center of the hospital's strategy team that has a mandate to focus on the most critical strategic initiatives for the hospital.

Key responsibilities
  • Participate in the development, planning, and implementation of key strategic initiatives and major partnerships/M&A opportunities.
  • Design and prepare information to document the tracking and progress of assigned initiatives.
  • Provide administrative and analytical support for hospital-wide strategic activities.
  • Help develop communication and training plans.
  • Formulate recommendations for improvement on assigned projects or involved processes.
  • Communicate observations and recommendations orally and in writing to address the needs of different levels of management.
  • Observe and learns key processes and initiatives of the supported department(s) as assigned. Develop recommendations based on process redesign and operational excellence.
  • Establish and build positive and effective client and staff relationship through facilitation and participation of individual and group meetings.
  • Perform special reviews, consultations, research projects and other tasks as directed.
  • Completes other responsibilities as included in the fellowship program.

Minimum qualifications

Education:
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration

Experience:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and provide empathy in difficult interpersonal situations.
  • Excellent analytic, quantitative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies.

The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.

Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
