TITLE: Packer B

POSITION OBJECTIVE: To safely and productively pack finished goods to SPEC provided by charting instruction and regulations of the Packing SPEC Book.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• P.C. knowledge.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Oral communication skills.
• Minimal experience required.
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Demonstrates safe work habits.
• Report unsafe acts or conditions to supervision.
• Ensure equipment is in safe working order.
• Attends all site training and meetings.
• Identify proper packing codes in Packaging Specification Manual.
• Know how to use packing shuttles in manual.
• Identify all information on slit reel labels.
• Properly place reel labels on reels.
• Performing crane inspections.
• Printer operation and upkeep.
• Responsible for good housekeeping practices in assigned work areas.
• Comply with Recycling Program.
• Comply with plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.
• Must have regular, reliable attendance and willing to work outside the regular schedule as required.
• Willing to handle job stress and interact with others in the workplace.

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Inside and outside environments apply
• Manufacturing environment
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
• Subject to noise

MACHINES, TOOLS, EQUIPMENT, ELECTRONIC DEVICES & SOFTWARE:

• Working knowledge of horizontal and vertical cranes.
