Equipment Maintenance Technician (Automation/Robotics) We are seeking an Equipment Maintenance Technician to support automated manufacturing systems, ensuring optimal performance and minimal downtime. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining robotic and process equipment in a fast-paced production environment. Position Location: Buffalo Grove, IL Position Salary: $25/HR - $32/HR (Depending on Experience) Shifts: Both Day & Night Shifts available Key Responsibilities: Maintain continuous operation of automated/robotic equipment through repair, adjustment, and component replacement Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Perform preventive maintenance, calibrations, and equipment re-qualification Read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical/automation drawings Support installation, testing, and validation of automation systems Diagnose equipment failures and implement cost-effective repairs Collaborate with engineers and automation teams on system improvements Assist with hardware/software development and equipment optimization Qualifications: Experience with automation, robotics, or material handling equipment Working knowledge of PLCs Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical and mechanical systems Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams Hands-on experience with electronic assembly, cabling, and testing tools (oscilloscope, etc.) Familiarity with manufacturing equipment (SMT, wave soldering, insertion machines) preferred Basic computer skills Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Life and disability insurance Paid time off Tuition reimbursement Employee discount programs The base pay range listed reflects what we reasonably expect to offer for this role.
