Lead the development of our healthcare technology platform while mentoring a growing engineering team. You'll architect scalable solutions for pharmacy workflows and insurance processing systems, drive technical standards, and take ownership of critical system components that serve healthcare providers.

You will enjoy the flexibility to telecommute* from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges.

Primary Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

  • Architect solutionsfor complex healthcare integration challenges
  • Drive technical standardsfor code quality, testing, and deployment practices
  • Lead code reviewsand establish patterns for the engineering team
  • Evaluate and introducenew technologies and development practices
  • Performance monitoringand optimization of production systems

System Ownership:

  • End-to-end ownershipof critical microservices and data pipelines
  • Production debuggingand complex issue resolution
  • Capacity planningand scaling strategy for growing pharmacy network
  • Security reviewsand implementation of compliance requirements
  • Documentationof system architecture and operational procedures

Team & Process:

  • Mentor 2-3 engineersdirectly, providing technical guidance and career development
  • Lead technical discussionsand architectural decision making
  • Collaborate with Producton technical feasibility and implementation planning
  • Drive sprint planningand technical task breakdown
  • Participate in hiringand technical interviewing process

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ yearsof Python development experience with2+ years of experience in senior roles
  • 4+ years of expertisein AWS serverless architecture(Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, SQS)or other cloud provider equivalents
  • 3+ years of experiencearchitecting serverless microservices
  • 3+ years of experience with API designand service integration patterns
  • 3 + years of production experiencewith high-availability systems handling sensitive data
  • 2+ years of system designskills for complex, multi-service workflows
  • 1+ years of technical leadershipexperience mentoring engineers and driving architectural decisions
  • Experience collaborating with varied stakeholdersfor feature developmentand otherdomain ownershipresponsibilities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Healthcare/pharmacy domainknowledge or regulated industry experience
  • Data pipeline architectureand ETL system design
  • Database performance tuning(PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
