Job Title: Oracle Database Application Analyst Location: Remote Duration: 12 months Role Overview Corporate Finance is seeking an Oracle Database Application Analyst with at least 2 years of experience to support financial systems and data warehouse operations for life insurance reporting. The role involves maintaining and enhancing internal database applications, supporting actuarial reporting, and ensuring smooth data warehouse operations. This position includes both application development and production support (L2 & L3). Key Responsibilities Maintained and enhanced Oracle-based financial reporting database applications Supported implementation and enhancement of new and existing life insurance products Automated reporting processes and ensured timely monthly data warehouse loads Developed control processes and generated automated and ad hoc reports Translated business and actuarial requirements into technical specifications Collaborated with business, finance, and technology teams Provided L2 & L3 production support for Oracle database applications Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) Minimum 2+ years of experience in database application development or DBA role Strong experience with: Oracle (11g/19c) - SQL, PL/SQL, SQLPlus, SQLLoader Linux OS and shell scripting TOAD Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, macros) Preferred Skills Scheduling tools (ESP, Stonebranch UAC) MS Access, Python Knowledge of life insurance products Key Skills & Competencies Ability to manage multiple priorities with urgency Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Detail-oriented with strong validation and quality focus
