ChristianaCare's Hospitalist Partners in Newark is looking for a self-sufficient, detail-oriented and adaptable Administrative Assistant II with strong organizational skills who can work independently and is task-oriented.

Suite 8E00 Newark,DE 19718 and specializes in the care of hospitalized patients serving our patients 24 hours a day. The doctors of ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners work closely with our primary-care physician and offer a variety of resources from the ChristianaCare to meet our patients' medicalneeds.

The Administrative Assistant II serves as a key team member who works collaboratively to provide administrative and operational support to approximately 200 ChristianaCare Hospitalist Partners (CCHP).

Work Schedule:

  • Mondays to Fridays: Day Shift

  • Hybrid schedule with remote options available

  • Flexibility to work every other weekend and occasional holidays.

  • Flexibility to work early morning hours, starting at 4:00am, on assigned list days.

Duties / Responsibilities;

  • Assign all patients on the Hospitalist service to a provider prior to their scheduled shift via the EMR based on the established algorithm. Utilize the verification process to confirm that all patients are accounted for. Review the records for all non-cohorted patients to ensure that details related to discharge readiness were added and reach out to assigned providers to complete if missing.

  • Maintain calendar/schedule for CCHP clinical leaders at all campuses, including the Medical Director and provide additional administrative support as needed.

  • Track and submit invoices through Workday for your assigned provider.

  • Follow up on all patient related inquiries from other practices, departments, or vendors (by mail, fax, email).

  • Assists with entering and verifying provider payroll in Kronos, including tracking moonlighting shifts and admitting incentives received via email.

  • Assist with scheduling and creating interview itineraries for all incoming new hires.

  • Assist with the credentialing process for all new providers.

  • Coordinate with the Medical-Dental Staff Office and assist in keeping certifications, credentialing, and personnel files up to date.

Position Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent required

  • Minimum of two years' work experience in healthcare required, preferably in an acute care setting

Hourly Pay Range: $22.29 - $33.44 This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
