Job Description HandsOn Field Work \| Regional Projects \| Team Environment We're seeking an Exploration Team Member (ETM) to join our Des Moines-based drilling team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outdoor, handson work, operating equipment, and being part of a dependable crew supporting regional infrastructure and development projects. What You'll Do Operate geotechnical drill rigs (auger, mud rotary, air rotary, coring) Perform insitu testing (CPT, pressuremeter, rock dilatometer) Install monitoring wells and instrumentation Lead and work alongside a 2person drill crew Collect and classify soil and rock samples Perform routine equipment maintenance Complete field paperwork and DOT logs Follow safety, quality, and project standards What We're Looking For Required: High school diploma or equivalent 1+ year of relevant field or drilling experience Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record Ability to obtain a DOT Medical Card within 30 days Required state drilling/well installation license (where applicable) Preferred: Insitu testing or instrumentation experience Environmental, angle, or barge drilling experience Iowa or regional drilling license Class A or B CDL Why Join Us Regional project variety without longterm travel Steady work with a strong team culture Skill growth and advancement opportunities Work that makes a visible impact About Terracon Terracon is a 100 percent employee-owned multidiscipline consulting firm comprised of more than 8,000 curious minds focused on solving engineering and technical challenges from more than 200 locations nationwide.
