Application Window Open date: April 1, 2026 Next review date: Friday, May 1, 2026 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Final date: Friday, Oct 1, 2027 at 11:59pm (Pacific Time) Position description University of California San Francisco, Associate Medical Director of Occupational Health Services at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland The UCSF Department of Medicine is seeking to fill the position of Associate Medical Director of Occupational Health Services (OHS) for UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Oakland. The position is primarily clinical and administrative, and there is also a teaching component (including supervising trainees). Research activities are not required, but are encouraged. As a faculty member in the UCSF Division of Occupational, Environmental, and Climate Medicine a contribution of a minimum of 50 hours annually in teaching and mentoring is anticipated, along with university and public service. The principal responsibilities of this position are as follows: seeing patients in the OHS Oakland Clinic and serving as a clinical resource for clinical and administrative staff. Partnering with the OHS medical director, administrative director and Oakland clinic manager on quality improvement, workflow development and implementation and informatics support at the OHS Oakland Clinic. Partnering with OHS medical director, infection prevention and other stakeholders at Oakland to address outbreaks, exposures, medical surveillance programs and other emerging issues. Attend relevant institutional and committee meetings as appropriate. Collaborate with other OHS leaders on cross bay projects as appropriate. Candidates must be (or in process of obtaining) board eligible/certified in Occupational and Environmental Medicine or have equivalent training or experience. Additional board eligibility in another specialty, in particular Internal Medicine, is advantageous. Excellent clinical and communication skills are required.
