Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Department of Accountancy and Business Law ( ABL) seeks to hire one part-time Research Assistant (Faculty) for June-July 2026.
This position will support faculty research and departmental initiatives. The Research Assistant will work closely with a faculty supervisor on research-related activities and other departmental tasks, as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with faculty research projects (e.g., data collection, literature reviews, data analysis, and manuscript preparation support)
  • Support departmental initiatives and administrative tasks as assigned by the faculty supervisor
  • Coordinate regularly with the faculty supervisor to ensure timely progress on assigned work

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Strong preference will be given to graduates of University of North Carolina Wilmington's Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) program
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in academic research
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills


Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
