What to Expect
Tesla is seeking a Project Manager - Self Perform with relevant experience in the construction/facilities industry to support the buildout of Tesla's facilities and infrastructure. This position will be directly responsible for working on operational efficiencies, cost controls, contract reviews, cost analysis, and driving operational efficiencies for Tesla's Self Perform team throughout the various project stages. They will set clear goals for the programs supported and oversee their execution processes ensuring all parties fulfill their obligations.

What You'll Do
  • Identify areas of operational efficiencies and implement processes and workflows for the Self Perform program tackling critical project aspects such as material/inventory management, labor management programs and equipment management
  • Analyze program expenses, services, and financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings. Develop dashboards and visualizations to present data in a clear and actionable manner
  • Maintain and enhance cost management tools/reports to effectively communicate project cost metrics and identify risks. Provide actionable insights to project teams and senior management, facilitating data-driven decision-making. Establish KPIs for the Self Perform team and regularly report on project performance against metrics. Including key milestones, forecast targets, earned value management systems, to provide insights into project trends and potential issues, offering proactive solutions to ensure project success
  • Review existing contracts with vendors and identify areas of risk mitigation, cost savings, compliance of contract terms and conditions, and other opportunities for improvement that drive favorable outcomes to the organization and company
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure cohesive cost control efforts and alignment with leaders

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience on commercial and/or large scale infrastructure programs
  • Proven experience in cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, cost control management, and process improvement initiatives
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, and other project management software
  • Quick learner and adaptable, can pivot when needed to
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively present financial data and insights to project teams and senior management

    Expected Compensation
    $96,000 - $162,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
