Position Summary

JOB PURPOSE STATEMENT

Responsible for developing and implementing a preventative maintenance schedule that balances cost-effectiveness with the need to monitor and maintain functioning equipment. As part of your duties, you identify and catalog equipment, enter information in a maintenance record, and assign work orders. Other responsibilities will include working in cross-functional activities that may include the following: PO generation, pricing, parts delivery, shop organization, stock levels, expense reporting, and other assigned duties.

Essential Functions:

  • Work closely with maintenance and ME to develop, modify, document, and implement a comprehensive PM plan for shop equipment, machinery, and facilities.
  • Work closely with critical spare parts maintenance associate align spare parts needed for PM.
  • Schedule and coordinate PM activities, ensuring minimal disruption to shop operations.
  • Interface with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and suppliers to obtain up-to-date technical documentation, bulletins, and PM recommendations.
  • Assign and close out all work orders.
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations of shop equipment to identify maintenance needs and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of all equipment data, PM activities, maintenance schedules, and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Participate in internal and external audits of the maintenance system.
  • Help with improving critical spare parts system, organize shop, set replenishment levels and maintain current stock.
  • Other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2-5 years of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems experience.
  • Must have strong technical knowledge of production equipment and machinery.
  • Must be able to read blueprints and schematics.
  • Excellent planning skills to prioritize competing requests and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to communicate with technicians, management, and vendors.
  • Administrative experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
  • Must be able to collect Maintenance KPI data to track performance over time.
  • Must have computer skills with Microsoft office experience.
  • Experience with MSSv is a plus.
  • Physical work and ability to lift boxes and climb ladders.
  • Associate's degree in industrial technology or equivalent is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the essential functions of this job, the associate will be required to walk, talk, or hear. Will be required to stand, sit and reach with both hands and arms. The employee will occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. Normal weigh to be lifted or moved is between 0 and 15 pounds
