Under the direction of the Manager of DEI, the DEI Coordinator will support diversity, equity, and inclusivity internally and externally. This role will be data driven and diligent in order to create a more equitable and inclusive culture at Neighborhood and works collaboratively with others. It will be an individual who supports the Office of DEI in inspiring others to act, and embodies servant leadership, appreciation, and respect for all humanity. This is an exciting opportunity to support the strategic and day-to-day operational advancement of our ongoing culture work which includes DEI, employee satisfaction and employee experience.

Reporting to the Manager of DEI, the DEI Coordinator will administratively support and track progress against ongoing strategic and tactical initiatives that help dismantle inequities, increase diversity and enhance an inclusive work environment. This includes providing support to the Employee Resource Group and Health Equity Group, collaboration with Marketing on communication support and maintenance of the DEI SharePoint site.

The focus of this position is to support Neighborhood's DEI strategy that accomplishes 4 goals: 1) ensures all people (including those who have been historically underrepresented based on race/ethnicity, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, veteran status and disability) are treated fairly in the work of our mission; 2) supports staff to collectively pursue a shared vision of equity, diversity and inclusion; 3) helps create a culture of belonging so employees can confidentially bring their authentic selves to work each day; and 4) ensures Neighborhood business systems, processes and relationships related to our work in the community and with vendors and suppliers reflects Neighborhood's commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.



Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Employee Resource Group (ERG) Support



  • Administratively supports monthly meetings with ERG Chairs that require agenda, meeting minutes and follow-up on takeaways
  • Support ERG initiatives and coordination throughout the calendar year for ERGs who each have 2-5 events during the year, which equals to 16-40 potential events per year.
  • Handles general ERG emails, questions and conversation follow-up
  • Maintenance of ERG documents and folders on shared drive


Communication Support



  • Administratively supports bi-weekly and bi-monthly meetings that require an agenda, meeting minutes and follow-up on takeaways
  • Support the creation of Neighborly News Promotional articles for DEI related functions and ERG related functions
  • Support the update of all content with feedback from the Communications department and CDO.
  • Maintenance of Communications Department collaborations documents and folders


DEI and Employee Experience SharePoint Site Support



  • Administratively supports ad-hoc meetings that require agenda, meeting minutes and follow-up on takeaways, along with SharePoint support
  • Create and maintain content and updates for the DEI and Employee Experience Share Point Site, including page approval process
  • Coordinate the main SharePoint calendar with up to date DEI, ERG, and EX events


Health Equity Support



  • Administratively supports monthly meetings with the Health Equity Committee that require meeting minutes and follow-up on takeaways
  • Support core and sub-groups with initiative development and execution


Human Resources Operations Support



  • Support Employee Experience events and coordination throughout the calendar year
  • Support Talent Acquisition with contingent worker onboarding and offboarding
  • Support HR Operations team with internal and external audit preparation


  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Corporate Compliance Responsibility - As an essential function, responsible for aligning with Neighborhood's Corporate Compliance Program, Standards of Business Conduct, applicable contracts, laws, rules and regulations, policies, and procedures as it applies to individual job duties, the department, and the Company. This position must exercise due diligence to prevent, detect, and report unlawful and/or unethical conduct by fellow co-workers, professional affiliates and/or agents.

Qualifications

Required:



  • Relevant work experience to equate to a degree
  • Minimum of two (2) years professional experience, with at least one (1) years of supporting and advancing diversity and cultural inclusion strategic planning within an organization and/or community
  • Ability to measure results through data and outcomes
  • and qualitative evidence-based approaches and analytics
  • Working knowledge of diversity programs
  • Organizational skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Ability to support the management of multiple collaborators at various levels of leadership
  • Respect for, knowledge of, and skills to engage with people from different cultures and backgrounds; ability to collaborate with a wide variety of employees, teams, organizational leaders and external partners
  • Strong communication skills - written, oral and presentation
  • Possess sound judgment, discretion, and ability to appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information. Comfortable raising difficult topics
  • Experience working with various computer applications (SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Power Point)
