Position Overview We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Sterile Technician to support daily dental operations. This role is essential to ensuring instruments are properly cleaned, sterilized, tracked, and available for clinical use while maintaining the highest standards of safety and care. Key Responsibilities * Clean, sanitize, organize, and prepare dental instruments for use * Maintain accurate logs of sterilization cycles and spore testing * Ensure instruments are sterilized promptly upon receipt * Maintain cleanliness and organization of all sterilization areas * Track and monitor instruments through the sterilization system * Maintain supply orders to ensure smooth daily operations * Communicate equipment, supply, or procedure issues to the Lead Sterilization Technician * Meet provider needs and special requests related to instruments and handpieces * Attend meetings as required * Follow OSHA standards and infection control protocols at all times * Promote teamwork and positive working relationships to support operational goals Required Skills & Qualifications * Strong organizational and time management skills * Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, and telephone communication skills * Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment * Proficient computer skills, including word processing, email, and electronic medical/dental records * Knowledge of healthcare and dental processes and procedures * Experience conducting tests or inspections to evaluate quality and performance * Ability to recognize problems, escalate appropriately, and assist with resolution * Familiarity with medical and dental instruments * Understanding of sterilization processes and infection control standards Additional Expectations * Keep instruments properly sorted and stored * Maintain accurate inventory and sterilization records * Manage multiple responsibilities while meeting procedural schedules Dress Code & Interview Information * Candidates must supply their own scrubs (no onsite laundry or scrub service available) * Closed-toe shoes are required for the interview due to possible tour of the sterile environment Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of St. Louis, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
